					<description>Well, to be fair, I've really only had the enchilada dishes at Guapo's, because that's sort of my yardstick for judging Tex-Mex.  That, and the refried beans - yes, there is an art to refried beans!  

One note about all Mex places in the DC metro area: they're way too expensive.  Back in the homeland, a couple of chili-drenched enchiladas with generous glops of beans and rice is, like, $3.50 at lunch and $6 at dinner.  Here, it's $7 for lunch (in the suburbs) and $13 for dinner.  But so is everything else.

					<description>Since you ask, there are actually several that I've deemed "acceptable".  La Lomita in capitol hill is good, as is Guapo's in Bethesda and Dancing Peppers in Alexandria.  I wrote a positive review of Dancing Peppers for the City Paper a while ago, but of course they don't have it on their website!</description>
